All good points about the time issues (though I haven't seen 24). Not that big a deal, especially considering the world is significantly emptier now, and roads are probably used less because of winter, and dragons are fast. And so yeah, there are surely long uneventful travel times we're just not seeing. Though this seems to be forgotten by the writers at points - eg, I think some of the convos the guys had while walking beyond the wall in S7 would probably have taken place on the ship on the way up there, particularly Jon offering his sword to Mormont.
